Greenwich Plate is a local meal delivery company based in Greenwich.  We strive to be the meal delivery company of choice for residents in and around Greenwich, by providing wholesome, fresh and nutritious meals that are made from scratch* and delivered to the door. 

Our customers receive a freshly prepared meal that is ready to enjoy, freeing up valuable time in their busy and often stressful lifestyle.  For families, professionals and other time-poor customers, Greenwich Plate provides a healthier alternative to the takeaway options available.  Our meals can help you stay on track of a well-balanced, healthy diet.

*  When we say our meals are made “from scratch”, it means we like to start with whole foods and avoid using pre-mixed sauces.  There are a few exceptions where producing from scratch is not practical, especially with Asian staples like miso-paste or tamari etc.  We use only ingredients of the highest quality, that are free from preservatives and artificial additives.

 
 
For families, professionals and other time-poor customers, Greenwich Plate is a healthier alternative to the takeaway options available.

Greenwich Plate is the only local meal delivery company that provides ready-to-eat meals which do not require defrosting.  We apply cooking techniques that are health-supportive in order to maximise the health benefits of the ingredients.  Our meals are balanced with a generous portion of vegetables and good grains, and made from fresh ingredients.  Artificial additives as flavourings (including MSG), colourings, stabilisers and preservatives are avoided.   As much as possible, we choose raw over refined sugars, but most of our recipes do not require sugar to be added.

All Greenwich Plate meals are designed to travel a short distance.  We do not outsource delivery to third party drivers, ensuring the highest quality end-product when they arrive at your door.

Founder, Greenwich Plate

A passionate foodie from a young age, Fiona's favourite past time is to pick a cuisine and then go through several recipes from cookbooks, and cook up a feast for her family and friends.  Fiona believes that restaurant and fine dining experiences are one thing, but home cooking is another. "Cooking at home should not be overly fancy but should be honest, using the best quality produce you can afford.  At the end of day, happiness is coming home to a freshly prepared, wholesome meal."   Read more about Fiona's story here.

Starting Greenwich Plate …. 

 

In starting Greenwich Plate with her partner Dan, Fiona wants to show that eating freshly prepared, wholesome meals on a regular basis can make a huge difference to one's energy levels and the immune and digestive system - common concerns of many time-poor professionals and busy families.  Dan has a background in management consulting and works as General Manager in an ASX-20 listed company.  Dan's passion for founding food businesses comes from growing up in a family who are (currently third generation) restauranteurs.

One of the goals of Greenwich Plate is to alleviate the time-poor factor in people who still want to have dinner in the comfort in their own home.  Dan and Fiona find the take out meal options in the area are usually laden with flavour enhancers like MSG, palm sugar, or ingredients that have gone through the deep-fryer.  However, Dan believes that most people care about the quality of the meal they put on the dinner table, and they are becoming more knowledgeable than ever in terms of making healthy food choices for themselves and their families.  Greenwich Plate's meals can help people stay on track of a well-balanced, healthy diet.

Although Fiona is not vegetarian, she acknowledges the benefits that are behind a growing trend in vegetarianism.  Fiona employs her knowledge in plant-based nutrition acquired through a certificate course with New York's Natural Gourmet Institute in designing the vegetarian menu section.  Our meals are designed so that the protein portion can be substituted with a vegetarian alternative, while the grain and green sections will usually be the same.
